Abstract
As an important part of cement clinker industrial production, the main task of the grate cooler is to cool the high temperature cement clinker; and to recover the heat from the high temperature gas generated during the cooling process. However, the grate cooler has a more complex structural system, and large hysteresis and inertia are problems that are difficult to overcome in the control process of the grate cooler. In addition, the inability of online parameter adjustment is the disadvantage of traditional PID control, so it is difficult to achieve good control effect on the traditional PID control in the grate cooler. In order to improve the above problems and meet the control characteristics of the grate cooler, this paper applies the PID parameter self-tuning method based on particle swarm algorithm to the grate cooler control, and the following conclusions can be drawn from the simulation results: the PID parameter self-tuning controller based on particle swarm algorithm achieves better results.
