Abstract

We observed optical coherence images of tumor spheroids based on transmission geometry photorefractive holography using a photorefractive quantum well device. The experimental setup consists of a modified Mach-Zehnder interferometer and a fs-laser for detecting degenerate four-wave mixing signals. The photorefractive multiple quantum well was used as an adaptive holographic film in real-time optical coherence imaging. By changing the length of one of the arms in the interferometer, the holograms of the ballistic component were acquired and the scattered backgrounds were rejected. The holograms with different angles between and sample orientation and the optical beam axis were acquired and can be used for reconstruction of 3D structures.
