Abstract

As a new domain for oil and gas exploration, the volcanic rock reservoir has attracted common concern and high attention in oil and gas industry. However, due to the particularity and complexity, it is very difficult to predict volcanic rock reservoirs. Through pre-stack seismic inversion method, combined with analysis on pre-stack attenuation attributes and key control factors for volcanic rock gas reservoir forming, the core, logging and pre-stack seismic data are fully used to predict the spatial distribution, physical properties and gas-bearing property of the deep volcanic rock reservoir in the northern Songliao Basin. As a result, good geologic results have been obtained, and there are innovations in the amplitude preservation processing of pre-stack seismic data, petrophysical modeling and interpretation template establishment for volcanic rock reservoir. These research thoughts and methods provide important reference and guidance for pre-stack prediction of volcanic rock reservoir.
