Abstract

Objective To explore application of perioperative nursing care in children with developmental dislocation of hips(DDH). Methods From January 2006 to December 2010, 35 children with DDH were included in the study, and all accepted perioperative nursing care.The clinical effect of perioperative nursing care was evaluated. The study protocol was approved by the Ethical Review Board of Investigation in Human Being of Nantong Rich Children's Hospital.Informed consent was obtained from each parents. Results The rate of excellent clinical effect, great clinical effect, good clinical effect, general clinical effect and bad clinical effect were 68.6%, 20.0%, 5.7%, 5.7% and 0.0%, respectively.The excellent and good rate of clinical effect was 88.6%(31/35). Conclusions Perioperative nursing care plays an important role in treatment and prognosis of DDH, which can mobilize the initiative and enthusiasm of patients, enhance the effectiveness of rehabilitation training, promote the recovery of hip function, improve the quality of their life.
