Abstract

Objective To explore the effects of nursing intervention based on self-efficacy in improving the quality of life of patients with bladder cancer colostomy. Methods A total of 140 bladder cancer colostomy patients from a ClassⅢ Grade A hospital in Harbin from July 2015 to June 2016 were selected by purposive sampling method and assigned into intervention group (n=70) and control group (n=70) . The control group were treated with routine colostomy nursing intervention. While the intervention group were treated with nursing intervention based on self-efficacy theory on the basis of routine intervention. The quality of life was evaluated with Quality of Life Questionnaire (QLQ-C30) and compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results The functional areas and special areas of the intervention group were significantly better than the control group after intervention (t=2.309, 2.352; P 0.05) . Conclusions The nursing intervention based on self-efficacy can improve the quality of life in patients with bladder cancer colois, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
