Abstract
SUMMARY The problems of artificial neural networks applications in the railway vehicle dynamics are dealt with in this paper. The subject of particular interest are non-conventional railway vehicles. In such designs the neural networks are used to adaptive control of chosen parameters in order to increase the velocity of vehicle stable motion on a straight track and improve the guidance performance of wheelsets on the curves. Example results of computer simulations are given for a nonlinear model of a biaxial railway vehicle.
