Abstract

As a rapid, accurate and high throughput bacterial identification technique, matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) has been gradually applied to clinical microbiological laboratories. However, the application of MALDI-TOF MS is far beyond the identification of bacteria. It also has broad application prospect in bacterial typing.
