Abstract

As a new type of radar system, the balloon-borne radar system has been widely used in military and civilian fields. To ensure the short-term power supply of control systems and communication systems when the power supply of the entire radar system is insufficient, the balloon-borne radar emergency power supplies are indispensable. Considering the special requirements of the balloon-borne radar system and the characteristics of the lithium ion battery, this paper designs a balloon-borne radar emergency power supply. Firstly, the power distribution of the entire radar system is analyzed. According to the power distribution of each part of the system, the requirements of the emergency power supply is determined. Then based on these technical indicators, we design the required emergency power supply. Finally, the experimental results verify that the emergency power supply meets the design requirements. The design process and analysis method of the emergency power supply in this paper provides an inspiration for the design and analysis of similar power supplies.
