Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of lidocaine on the sputum suction for the sane patient.Methods In our hospital,83 cases were selected from June 2006 to June 2010 and divided into observation group with 42 cases and control group with 41 cases.In the observation group,2％ lidocaine 0.5 ～ 1ml was injected along the patients'trachea; 2 ～3 min later,the sputum suction was done.In the control group,routine sputum suction was adopted.Results The patients in the two groups were compared with cough,pain,agitation,tracheospasm,hyoxemia,abnormal heart rhythms,nausea and so on,there were significant differences (P ＜ 0.01) ; there was no difference in hemorrhage after suctioning; there were significant difference in oxyhemoglobin saturation during suctioning,after suctioning 2 min and 5 min.Conclusions Lidocaine can alleviate the body reaction of patients with sputum suctioning,relieve the sensitivity of the trachea and patients'pain.It is worthy spreading.
