Abstract

The concept of the 4th Industrial Revolution and the concept of Industry 4.0 are beginning to emerge in many areas of human life and are no longer the domain of the manufacturing industry. Medicine is a special area in which the development of new technologies should bring new opportunities for the diagnosis and treatment of people, as well as the management of medical resources. The paper presents a system for the integration of heterogeneous data sources in the domain of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). The concept of the system is described along with its main functionalities, IT architecture and details of the implementation. The data sources and the methods of data acquisition from medical devices integrated with the system are also characterized. The main goal of the system is to facilitate patients diagnosis and treatment process by integrating the results of the performed medical examinations and analyses. The data source contains clinical interviews, physical examinations, lab tests, and data collected from the devices used to diagnose and monitor patients parameters during sleep (PSG, CPAP).
