Abstract

Objectives: The exogenous delivery of in vitro transcribed (IVT) messenger RNA (mRNA) offers various possibilities for regeneration of infarcted myocardium. Using IVT mRNA, somatic cells can be reprogrammed into induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and then differentiated into desired cell types or they can be even used to perform transdifferentiation. Here, we examined the generation of iPSCs using IVT mRNA and performed transdifferentiation experiments.
