Abstract

Objective To compare and analyze the effect of improved dertnis intradermic suture and traditional suture in plastic and aesthetic surgery. Methods Ninety-six patients in department of plastic and aesthetic surgery from May 2013 to January 2015 were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 48 cases in each group. The observation group received improved dertnis intradermic suture, and the control group received traditional suture. The index of clinical results, postoperative complications, length of stay, Ⅰ stage healing, scar width, satisfaction and postoperative recovery after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The efficiency rate and total efficiency rate of the observation group were higher, the rates of infection and skin damage after surgery were lower, the length of stay was shorter, stage Ⅰ healing rate was higher, the width of the scar after surgery was less, very high satisfaction rate and total satisfaction rate were higher than those in the control group, all of the differences were significant(P<0.05). Observation group on 6 to 9 days after surgery shown a linear scar, scar width less than 1 mm. Forty-eight patients discharged from hospital were conducted three months follow-up, 1 missed and the follow-up rate of other 47 cases was 97.9%, all patients participation in follow-up showed a linear scar, and suture the site and adjacent skin complexion relatively close, in which 38 patients (79.2%) with scar width less than 0.3 mm, 7 patients (14.6%) in the community scar width 0.3 to 0.5 mm, 2 patients (4.2%) with scar width of the border in 0.6 to 1.0 mm, the average width of about 0.21 mm, which were better than that in the control group. Conclusions The combined improved leather interior stitching has the good effect in the plastic and aesthetic surgery with heal faster and lower scar formation rate, is recommend widespread clinical application. Key words: Improved dertnis intradermic suture; Traditional suture; Plastic and aesthetic surgery
