Abstract

Low- and high-temperature impregnations were applied as methods for synthesis the composite based on Sr0.96Y0.04TiO3 and V2O5. Wet vacuum impregnation with a solution of V2O5 precursor and direct impregnation with melted vanadium (V) oxide were performed, respectively. Both synthesis procedures resulted with formation of multiphase materials, however partial decomposition of the perovskite was also observed. XRD measurements result together with SEM observations and EDS analysis supplemented with the conductivity measurements were used to discuss the reactivity in Sr0.96Y0.04TiO3–V2O5 system.
