Abstract
Skin repair has been one of the greatest challenges in human history. Today, with the dramatic increase in chronic diseases and surgical procedures, the demand for wound dressings has gradually increased. Hydrogel, due to their excellent hydrophilicity, biocompatibility and three-dimensional (3D) porous structure, are widely used in wound dressings. In this paper, the process of skin wound healing, the application of hydrogel in skin repair and other applications of hydrogel are introduced. Finally, the development of hydrogel materials in the field of wound healing is prospeced.
