Abstract

Dendritic micelles formed from amphiphilic linear-dendritic hybrids based on organic linear poly (ethylene oxide) and inorganic dendritic block containing silicon atoms. The micellar structures of the synthesized copolymers were investigated by TEM images. Thus, two cluster- and flower-like structures were attributed to the first and second generations. The physical parameters of the drug-incorporated carriers, including the drug:carrier ratio, the kinetics of release and the apparent partition constant, were measured. It was observed that the loading efficiency and hydrolytic behavior of the copolymers depend on several factors, such as type of interaction between host and guest molecules, generation of the dendritic copolymers, and pH.
