Abstract

In recent years, hexahedral mesh automatic generation methods have been developed rapidly, especially the hexahedral meshing method based on frame fields. In this paper, a decomposition algorithm based on frame fields and feature edges is used to decompose some complex hydraulic structures. Benefiting from the state-of-the-art frame field theory, the output blocks of this algorithm can be meshed by mapping or sweeping methods, which is easy to implement in current commercial software. The decomposition algorithm in this paper has the ability to automatically and efficiently obtain high-quality hexahedral meshes without relying on experience. In the end, the scaled Jacobian is used to evaluate the final hexahedral meshes.
