Abstract

Objective: To explore a new and applicable method that favors for radiology education. Methods: 62 medical imaging students were randomly divided into the normal PACS group and the Combined PACS and separate teaching group between 2013 and 2015, then questionnaire and performance evaluation results were recorded and analyzed. Results: Combinedg PACS and separate group teaching method questionnaire scores (7.98±2.81), which is significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.01). Combined PACS and separate group teaching method performance evaluation scores (11.97±4.75), which is also significantly higher than that in the control group (P <0.01). Conclusion: Combined PACS and separate group teaching method is a creative education mode that motivates the students’ initiatives and improves the teaching quality. It plays an important role in promoting talented radiology personnel. Key words: Picture archiving and communication systems; Separate group teaching; Radiology education
