Abstract

A novel application of gas oscillation in a tube connected between room and liquid helium temperatures is described. The apparatus is designed to increase the internal pressure in a liquid helium storage vessel, in order to transfer the liquid from the storage vessel to an individual cryostat. The apparatus includes a liquid level meter which can be used even under pressure.
