Abstract

The aim of this present paper is to show the application of fuzzy-rough oscillation concept on the field of data mining especially in the subject of crime against women at Tripura. The concept of fuzzy-rough oscillatory region was first introduced in the year of 20091. In this present investigation we have collected crime against women data from Tripura (North Eastern State of India). After that the set of attributes are reduced by the aid of network techniques such as fuzzy cognitive map (FCM). The collected qualitative data are then converted into quantitative data by fuzzy membership value lying between [0,1] using technique “Direct methods with multiple object”. Lastly we apply “Fuzzy-Rough Oscillatory Region Algorithm” on the said data.
