Abstract
The fuzzy cellular neural network (FCNN) is a brand new branch of cellular neural network (CNN). In this paper, an additive structure of FCNN is proposed for the purpose of implementation of grey-scale mathematical morphology operators. Then this additive FCNN is used to implement morphological grey-scale reconstruction. Some applications of the FCNN to image processing are proposed based on morphological grey-scale reconstruction. Computer simulation results are given. © 1997 by John-Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
