Abstract

In this paper, a group decision and negotiation support system is proposed for multicriteria problems with a discrete set of decision alternatives. The group decision and negotiation process is bared on the concepts of fuzzy set theory and hierarchical decision analysis. Individual linguistic assessments of criteria and the decision alternatives versus the selection criteria are aggregated to obtain fuzzy group preference indices. Through this system, different rating attitudes of the decision makers and their fuzzy assessments can be taken into account in the aggregation process to facilitate more accurate and convincing negotiation. A fleet selection problem is used to illustrate the proposed system. >
