Abstract

In recent years frequency response methods have been extended to the multi-input multi-output case and control system design techniques developed. In this paper a design approach based on a combination of two of the methods, the Inverse Nyquist Array method and the Characteristic Locus method, is applied to the design of the control scheme for the once-through boiler of a nuclear power station.
