Abstract

AbstractThe tracking differentiator logic is designed for the velocity measurement in semi-strapdown stable platform based on FPGA chip. This method avoids the limitation of the CPU timer, which will limit parameters such as the integration step of the tracking differentiator. Since FPGA chip can operate parallelly and process in fast speed, the tracking differentiator based on FPGA has better velocity measurement performance. And the stability accuracy of the semi-strapdown stable platform can be improved. Moreover, the tracking differentiator logic designed in FPGA can estimate the angular velocity information of the frame and this angular velocity information is used to obtain the optical axis angular velocity information. According to the experimental results, when the semi-strapdown stable platform adopts the tracking differentiator designed by FPGA, the stability accuracy of the optical axis can reach to 30 µrad. Therefore, the experiment proves that the application of FPGA in the semi-strapdown stable platform has certain application value in engineering.KeywordsSemi-strapdown stable platformTracking differentiatorFPGAVerilog HDL
