Abstract
We report on a disconnector for surge protective devices (SPDs) in photovoltaic (PV) systems. We developed the DC750V fuse type SPD disconnector (FDS) for these PV systems in 2015. After that, our PV system was up-graded, and the rated voltage was extended to DC1000V. For the DC1000V PV system, we used the DC750V FDS and applied it by making the system configurations more economical than newly developed DC1000V FDSs. Also, we evaluated the potential of applying our FDSs to the DC1000V PV system.
