Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical results of the implementation of family participation mode of the treatment of hospitalized patients. Methods The 49 cases of hospitalized patients with depression received family participation mode treatment (observation group), 49 patients with depression at the same period in hospital underwent routine procedure (control group). 2 groups of patients were assessed at the time of admission and discharge separately with Rating HAMD and HAMA. The number of relapse of two groups were assessed at the 12-month discharge with the WHOQOL-BREF. Results When discharged, the total score of HAMD and HAMA in observation group was significantly lower than those of Control group(P<0.01),the total score of WHOQOL-BREF in observation group was significantly higher than that in Control group when discharged 12 months, relapse rate in the observation group was signficantly lower than that in control group (P<0.01). Conclusions Family participation model can significantly improve the patient's clinical efficacy in patients with depression, reduce the relapse rate and improve the quality of life.
