Abstract

Objective To explore the surgical treatment for facial gigatic port wine stain with expanded flaps. Methods From January 2012 to September 2015, 12 cases of facial gigatic port wine stain were treated with the expanded flaps, including single expansion and secondary expansion. The eyelid eetropion and eyelid port wine stain were both treated. Results All the patients were followed up for 6-18 months, with mean 9 months. All flaps survived well. Eight patients got late repair due to surgical scars, two patients got late repair due to flap clumsy, and all got final satisfactory results. Conclusions Expanded flaps is an ideal method in the treatment of facial gigatic port wine stain. Key words: Expanded flaps; Facial; Port wine stain
