Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of applying the evidence-based nursing in the prevention of pressure ulcer among neurosurgery patients .Methods 86 neurosurgery patients were randomly divided into two groups using the random number table methods .The observation group (43 cases) was treated by evidence-based nursing, and the control group (43 cases) was given conventional nursing care .The incidence of pressure ulcer and patients ’ satisfaction were compared .Results The incidence of pressure ulcer in the observation group was 2.32%, which was significantly lower than 18.60% in the control group (χ2 =5.41,P〈0.05). The patients’ satisfaction in the observation group was 97.67%, which was significantly higher than 76.74%in the control group (χ2 =4.73,P〈0.05).Conclusions Evidence-based nursing can significantly reduce the occurrence of patients ’ pressure ulcer and can improve the patients ’ satisfaction.It is worthy of clinical promotion and popularization .
