Abstract

Objective To carry out evidence-based medicine(EBM) in clinical medical education and evaluate its effects. Methods EBM teachers team was formed in the Department of Internal Medicine (pilot department)of Taihe Hospital Affiliated to Hubei Medical University to develop EBM teaching activities and evaluate effects by questionnaire survey among 104 medical interns. Results After EBM training,55. 8% of the students chose the internet immediately when meeting clinic difficulties and more than 90%of the students grasped the basic knowledge of EBM, which was statistically different from that of pre-training (P <0.01 ). The degree of EBM teaching satisfaction of students was above 90%. Conclusions The application of EBM in clinical medical education might be beneficial to spread EBM basic knowledge, improve students' self-education ability, clinic practice and the communication with patients.
