Abstract
Objective To discuss the application of evidence based nursing in Department of Orthopedics to reduce pulmonary infection in elderly patients with hip fracture.Methods Based on the observation and nursing of 149 elderly patients with hip fracture,evidence based problems were brought up,relevant literature were retrieved for evidence based support,and best nursing method was developed according to previous nursing experience combined with patients' actual situation.Results 15 out of 149 patients had pulmonary infection in Department of Orthopedics,with the rate of 0.85％,which was lower than the average rate (2.43％).Conclusions Evidence based nursing can help to reduce the rate of pulmonary infection in 0ld0rly pati0nts with hip fracture.
