Abstract

Objective To assess the efficacy of dorsal vein complex(DVC)ligation free in laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. Methods The data of 41 patients underwent laparoscopic radical prostatectomy in our hospital from January 2013 to August 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. Among them, 22 cases underwent sutured DVC, 19 cases received sutured DVC. Results All the operations were completed with laparoscope. The mean operation time were(232.0±29.6) min and(205.0±23.7) min in DVC ligation and DVC ligation free, the blood loss were(231.0±115.0) mL and(263.5±137.0) mL in DVC ligation and DVC ligation free, the blood transfusion rate were 18.18%(4/22) and 10.53%(12/19) in DVC ligation and DVC ligation free, the urine tube indwelling days were(21.3±4.5)d and (19.2±4.1)d in DVC ligation and DVC ligation free. The 30 days, 90 days and 180 days postoperative continence rates were 13.64%, 31.58%, 68.18%, 73.68%, 81.82%, 89.47%. DVC ligation free group was higher than DVC ligation group. No significant difference was found in the operation time, blood loss, blood transfusion rate and the urine tube indwelling days among the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusions DVC ligation free is a safe and effective technique during laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, which can be more conducive to the early recovery of postoperative urinary control.
