Abstract

Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of application of Dexmedetomidine and Ropivacaine in ocular peosthesis implantation. Methods Thirty-four eyes of 34 cases received ocular peosthesis implantation. All cases received intravenous drip of Dextromidine(1.0 μg/kg)15 min before the operation and instillation with 10-15 min. Then all cases received nerve block and local anesthesia with 0.75% Ropivacaine. Results All patients were cooperative finished the surgery. Intraoperative and postoperative pain, chemosis, nausea and vomiting were mild. Conclusion Application of Dexmedetomidine and Ropivacaine in ocular prosthesis implantation can alleviate the pain during and after operation effectively.
