Abstract

The manufacturing industry is one of the main drivers of Vietnam's economic growth in general and industrial development in particular. The importance of the manufacturing industry poses an urgent requirement that is to quantify and evaluate the level of technical efficiency of enterprises. Data envelopment analysis (DEA) and Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) are the two main methods used in assessing the technical efficiency of manufacturing enterprises in Vietnam. The article focuses on the application of DEA and SFA to assess the technical efficiency of manufacturing enterprises in Vietnam during the Covid epidemic. Besides, proposing solutions to improve the technical efficiency of manufacturing industrial enterprises in Vietnam.
