Abstract
A validated computer model is used to simulate concentration profiles for single and multiple effluent discharge situations in a complicated river/estuary system. It is shown that only by using such a model it is possible to make correct decisions concerning the effective discharge management in order to preserve acceptable water quality in tidal water systems.
