Abstract
Introduction: Early post myocardial infarction (MI) there are regional changes in myocardial strain and stiffness in the infarct and remote areas of the left ventricle (LV) associated with changes LV geometry and global LV function that result in remodeling. In this study, we present an experimental platform to assess changes in passive biomechanics of the myocardium post MI before and after intramyocardial delivery of a imageable theranostic hydrogel, applying contrast cineCT (CCT) imaging and 3D echocardiography (ECHO).
