Abstract
The technique of chemical stress relaxation was applied to investigating radiation damage of elastomers. The interests center of this paper are as follows. 1. 1. The efficiency (G value) of chain scission and cross-linking obtained by the measurement of continuous and intermittent chemical stress relaxation. 2. 2. Dose rate dependence of chain scission and cross-linking. 3. 3. A method which expresses the magnitude of synergistic relationship between heat and radiation on the degradation of elastomers. 4. 4. A quantitative expression on the decrease in heat resistant properties of elastomer by pre-irradiation.
