Abstract

Objective To evaluate the security of the capsular tension ring and iris hooks during phacoemulsification in treatment of patients with cataract and lens subluxation.Methods 15 eyes of cataract combined with subluxation of lens in 14 patients were included in the study.All of those eyes had undergone phacoemulsification combine capsular tension ring and iris hooks.The visual acuity and the postoperative complications were observed and analyzed.Results All of the eyes were smoothly implanted capsular tension ring and intraocular lens,intraocular lens was placed into the capsule bag.After 3 months,all cases had improved in visual acuity with right position of intraocular lens.Conclusion The phacoemulsification combine capsular tension ring and iris hooks application is a safe and efficient method for the treatment of cataract combined with subluxation of lens.
