Abstract
In the aircraft industry electrical/electronical wiring and cable assembly takes up many hours of handwork. Due to the large amount of wires involved, it is easy to commit mistakes. New application programs were developed and added to the original turnkey CAD system owned by Embraer to extract information directly from wiring diagram drawings to generate wire lists.
