Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of Broden X-ray monitoring technique on the calcaneal fractures surgery. Methods A total of 110 cases of calcaneal fracture in Shanxi Provincial People’sHospital from May 2014 to January 2018 were selected as subjects. The patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 55 cases in each group. The control group received routine surgery, and the observation group was given Broden X-ray monitoring technique. The short-term efficacy rate of the two groups was evaluated by the American Society of Foot and Ankle Surgery (AOFAS) rating scale. The preoperative and postoperative Bohler angles, Gissane angle, calcaneus height and width were recorded and counted. The incidence of fracture healing, infection, skin necrosis and articular surface reduction after surgery were compared. The clinical effects and complications of the two groups were compared. Results The excellent and good rate of Broden X-ray monitoring technique in the observation group (90.91%) was higher than that in the control group (80.00%, P 0.05). The Bohler angle in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The Gissane angle, calcaneus height and calcane width in the observation group were lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The incidences of fracture healing, infection, skin necrosis and articular surface reduction after operation in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions Broden X-ray monitoring technology can obtain high short-term efficacy in calcaneal fracture surgery, which can improve the function of calcaneus. The postoperative complication rate is low, which is worthy of popularization and application. Key words: Broden X-ray monitoring technology; Calcaneal fracture surgery; Short-term efficacy rate; Calcaneus function; Postoperative complications
