Abstract. Widowati T, Nurjanah L, Sukiman H. 2019. Application of biofertilizer based on plant growth promoting microbial to support the growth of upland rice in greenhouse. Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 5: 18-21. Increased production of upland rice can be done by utilizing biofertilizer that contains plant growth promoting microbial. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of biofertilizer on the growth of upland rice. This study used a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments were no fertilization (P1), 100% dose of NPK fertilizer (P2), biofertilizer (P3), biofertilizer + 25% dose of NPK fertilizer (P4) and biofertilizer + 50% dose of NPK fertilizer. The results showed that application of biofertilizer with 50% dose of NPK can significantly increase plant height on first month and number of tillers. The highest colonization of mycorrhizal fungi on roots of upland rice resulted by P5 treatment about 74%.
