Abstract

The whole life cycle concept proposed by BIM technology is to realize the closed-loop management of engineering projects from planning, design, construction, to operation and maintenance through information technology and Internet technology. BIM technology not only changes the underlying logic of the design, but more importantly makes it possible to realize the informatization of construction management by relying on BIM technology to improve the quality, cost, and efficiency of engineering projects. Building a BIM collaborative management platform on the basis of the BIM model can make the project construction management work visible and three-dimensional. Meanwhile, it can also optimize the construction plan, formulate management procedures and responsibilities, and improve the efficiency of implementation of various measures in construction management. Through the Internet technology, the traditional one-to-one information communication method can be transformed into a one-to-many information sharing and collaborative mode, breaking the constraints of time and space. BIM technology can greatly simplify the “three controls” workload of schedule control, quality control, and safety control, and improve the degree and efficiency of management information.
