Abstract
Objective: Segmentation of the vascular system is of utmost importance in medical image analysis as evaluation of vascularisation is not only useful for diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases, but also represents a critical step to assess the prognosis or plan a surgical intervention in a wide range of diseases.1 Artificial intelligence has brought new insights in medical imaging analysis.2,3 The aim of this study was to develop a fully automatic method for vascular segmentation from computed tomography angiography (CTA) scans.
