Abstract

The results of computational and experimental investigations are presented on the application of an axisymmetric rigid-plastic finite element membrane model for evaluation of friction coefficients in sheet metal forming processes. The data on hemispherical punch stretching of a sheet metal under investigation are used. The method's possibilities are demonstrated by examining cases with different friction conditions.
