Abstract

In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy controller for three-phase three-wire shunt active power filter (SAPF) is designed. The proposed adaptive fuzzy controller not only discards the system model building, but also owns a good dynamic response and robustness. An adaptive law based on Lyapunov synthesis approach is used to adjust the free parameters of the controller. The free parameters of the proposed adaptive fuzzy controller are constrained within the certain region by a projection algorithm. Simulation results are presented to show that the control performance of the proposed controller is superior to that of traditional PID controller. It is featured by strong robustness and adaptability, and can accommodate itself to the parameters variation.
