Abstract

In order to make an efficient and accurate information resources purchase of our library, and determine whether existing information resources need to renew or deselect and whether it is necessary to start new recourses purchase, a rational evaluation on information resources need to be conducted. The paper establishes an evaluation index system which has 3 levels, and uses methods of Delphi and superiority chart to calculate the weight of each index. Then, it classifies the third-level indexes into two types: quantitative indexes and qualitative indexes, and their membership degree can be obtained. Thus single-factor evaluation set of third-level indexes can be constructed, and finally the evaluation matrix can be constructed. Lastly, it makes evaluation to overall quality of information resources which need purchase decision by fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method: first, the bottom indexes are evaluated to obtain the evaluation results by using their weights and evaluation matrix; then these results are calculated as the evaluation matrix of the superior level to obtain the evaluation results of this level. This step is repeated, until the evaluation results of the first level are obtained.
