Abstract
Abstract As part of the on-going risk assessment of Ontario Hydro's Bruce ‘B’ nuclear generating station, fault tree analyses for the boiler feedwater system and the inter-unit feedwater tie system were performed. The process fault trees were constructed using the expert system PC Fault Tree Aide. The experience gained from this exercise, the problems encountered and the benefits realized are described in this paper.
