Abstract
With the continuous updating of digital technology, young industrial designers increasingly rely on digital equipment for product design and model making. The concept of 3D printing technology is defined, the advantages and disadvantages of 3D printing technology and the application of 3D printing technology in industrial design are analyzed, the generation mode of 3D printing digital model is discussed, and the development status of 3D printing technology is studied. The results show that the application and popularization of 3D printing technology have shown an upward trend in the past few years, which has a significant impact on traditional industries.
