Abstract
In the present study 2-carboxy-2',4'-diamino azo benzene dye is synthesized by diazo coupling of anthranilic acid with m-phenylenediamine which has been applied on jute fabric under three different dying condition like neutral, alkaline and acidic pH using conventional jute dying process at boil. Considering the colour yield and washing fastness property, dyeing of jute fabric in acidic condition is found to exhibit best results.
