Abstract

Objective To explore the application effects of teaching mode of web problem-based learning (WPBL) in course teaching of Rehabilitation Nursing of higher vocational nursing students. Methods All students admitted in 2013, and the one from Class 1 were set to be the control group, taught by LBL teaching method; students from Class 2 were set to be PBL teaching group; students from Class 3 were set to be WPBL teaching group. At the end of the semester, examination scores in the 3 classes were compared. The students from 2 groups were also surveyed by questionnaires. Results Students in the WPBL group showed significant improvement in both theoretical and practical examinations than students in LBL group and PBL group(P<0.05). It was shown in questionnaires that students from the WPBL group had better performance than students from the other two groups regarding learning interest stimulation and improvement of self-study ability, and many other aspects(P<0.05). Conclusions The teaching mode of WPBL can effectively improve students′ learning outcome, and is more acceptable than LBL and PBL.
