Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of aerosol inhalation combined with nursing intervention on children with pyogenic tonsillitis. Methods A total of 104 child patients with suppurative tonsillitis received in Kaifeng Central Hospital from January 2014 to December 2015 were randomly selected as the study objects, of which there were 58 men and 46 women. The age range was 4 to 9 years old, and the average age was 5 years old.According to the random grouping method, there were Group A and Group B. Group A was experimental group where there were 52 cases, and Group B was control group where there were 52 cases, of which Group B applied conventional therapy combined with care quality method.Group A applied the scheme of Group B combined with wild chrysanthemum aerosol inhalation combined with nursing intervention measures. The results of Group A and Group B were analyzed. Results After treatment, the temperature of child patients in Group A and Group B was normal. In addition, the symptoms of cough and pharyngalgia disappeared. The pus points and hyperaemia of tonsil disappeared. The swollen condition of throat was relieved significantly. The temperature, white blood cell and tonsil recovery time of child patients in Group A was (2.77±1.30)days, (3.62±1.15)days and(4.00±0.98) days respectively. The temperature, white blood cell and tonsil recovery time of child patients in group B was(4.41±1.23)days, (4.75±1.44)days and (5.10±1.04)days respectively. The recovery time of child patients in Group A was shorter than that of child patients in Group B, and the difference had statistical significance(t=19.46, P=0.02; t=16.24, P=0.03; t=9.35, P=0.04). 30 cases were basically cured, 16 cases were effective and 6 cases were ineffective in Group A. The total effective rate was 88.50%. 16 cases were basically cured, 12 cases were effective and 24 cases were ineffective in Group B. The total effective rate was 53.80% in Group B. The total effective rate of Group A was greater than Group B. In addition, the contrast difference had statistical significance(χ2=8.85, P=0.00). Conclusion The effect of the treatment scheme of Group A was superior to that of Group B. The recovery time and total effective rate of child patients in Group A were better than Group B. The treatment scheme of wild chrysanthemum aerosol inhalation combined with nursing intervention is worth making popularization and application. Key words: Suppurative tonsillitis; Chrysanthemum Injection; Compression inhalation; Artificial nursing intervention
