Abstract

Objective To investigate the application effect of visual method in neonatal radial artery blood sampling,in order to improve the success rate of first puncture of blood sampling. Methods 200 cases with neonatal radial artery blood sampling were divided into control group (n=100) and observation group (n=100),the blood sampling of cases in control group used touching method and the cases in observation group used visual method, respectively. Then we compared the success rate of first puncture and mean time of blood sampling. Results The success rate of first puncture of blood sampling in observation group was similar to that in control group, there was no significant difference (P > 0.05); the mean time of blood sampling in observation group was lower than that in control group obviously, two groups showed statistical significant difference (P < 0.05).Conclusion The visual method in neonatal radial artery blood sampling is feasible and can shorten the mean time of blood sampling, which is worthy of application widely.
